Heather Evans

Heather Evans (she/her/elle) is a Self-Care and Empowerment Coach working with people around the world. Her unique offering of embodied coaching combines deep excavation, movement, breath, and immediate action. Heather’s clients discover their inner fire and reignite their belief in themselves and what they are capable of. In sessions with Heather, the shifts happen quickly with an emphasis on personal empowerment.

Heather worked for many years in the for-profit and non-profit sectors while living in Chicago. After neglecting her own self-care and struggling with eating disorders for over 20 years, she took a leap and left her prior career to start aligning her work with her soul. She attended her first yoga teacher training in Bali, Indonesia in 2014 after listening to the voice within that called for something more.

Since then, Heather has shared her love of movement and coaching with individuals around the world. She is a dynamic guide who resonates with all who meet her.

Heather holds an MS in Public Service Management from DePaul University and is certified in Strategic Intervention Coaching through Robbins-Madanes. Heather has trained in Hatha, Yin, and Restorative yoga modalities with the School of Sacred Arts and with Cat Kabira and loves sharing her passion for modern dance (BA from Denison University in Ohio). She has completed 20 hours of training in Trauma Center-Trauma Sensitive Yoga with the Trauma Center Yoga Program, giving her the skills to integrate a trauma-informed lens into her work.

In addition to her coaching work, Heather offers Social Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) consulting services and support to organizations on Vancouver Island.

Heather has travelled to and lived in many places around this world including North America, Europe, and the Middle East, and currently resides on Vancouver Island in Canada with her husband and two kiddos. She is a lover of all things chocolate, yearns for crisp autumn days near the water, backcountry camping, and twinkle lights.

She respectfully acknowledges that she lives, works, and plays on the unceded traditional territory of the K’òmoks First Nation. Heather provides a positive space that is welcoming, affirming, and inclusive of everyone including 2SLGBTQ+; those living with diverse abilities; and those from different cultural, faith, and spiritual backgrounds.
“I highly recommend Heather as a coach. Heather created a safe space to journey inwards, release old habits and beliefs. She supported me to step into my power and be fully alive. Heather challenged my thinking in a way that I could hear because she came from her heart and was open about her own personal journey. This was an opportunity to invest in myself, get unstuck and live the life I knew was waiting for me.”
